The Secret to Happiness is Butterflies and Hurricanes

It's the day after the 4th of July, and therefore I am sad. Some of the worst days of the year are the days after my favorite holidays, because that means the fun's almost over and I now get to look forward to more work, more school, and less sleep. I went to see Kung Fu Panda for the second time today, and that helped, but I'm still a little depressed.

Last night I watched the fireworks at the Stadium of Fire in Provo, Utah. I loved the show, but couldn't help feeling like I wasn't enjoying it as much as I wanted to. Each firework was beautiful, but over much to quickly, and this annoyed me. So I whipped out the ol' Ipod and listened to Muse for the rest of the show, and the music sustained the wonder for quite a bit longer. I plan to make it a tradition, and recommend it to anyone bored enough to read this.

I agree, fireworks definitely don't last long enough. It's a shame really. I mean, it takes longer to flush a toilet than to watch a firework go off. And we call our society advanced.

That is the best comparison I've heard in a long time. I might use it from now on, if you don't mind.
